THE THYLACINE DELUXE
MK1.5 FUZZ CLONE

The Thylacine Deluxe is our premium MK1.5 Tonebender clone. As with the standard Thylacine, this pedal was named in honour of the beautiful and now sadly extinct Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacinus cynocephalus) that left our planet in the mid-1930s. The Thylacine was an apex predator and was the largest predatory marsupial in the world (its distant cousin, the Tasmanian Devil, now holds that distinction) and roamed the woodlands and grasslands of the midlands region and coastal heaths of Tasmania. The Thylacine originated well over 1 million years ago and was a wild, ferocious, and beautiful animal, which we think is the perfect namesake for this fuzz.
Van Diemens' Thylacine Deluxe is based on the classic 2 transistor MK1.5 Tonebender. These pedals come in a large format enclosure from the wonderful folk at Fuzzcases in the UK. The components are all hand picked for optimum quality and condition and are fitted to 60's paxolin perf board. We use a hand pick selection of classic vintage Mullard or Mullard/Philips transistors, Wima, Erie, Philips, Mullard Tropical Fish, Mullard Mustard, Ducon and other high end vintage capacitors and vintage Piher and/ or Allen Bradley resistors. The mechanicals are modern but are the highest quality available today including Carling footwitches, Neutrik jacks and Tocos RV24 or Precision Series K potentiometers.

These pedals will be finished in either charcoal hammer or gold hammer paint, just like the originals. They are also available in Grey Powdercoat. Be aware that the traditional hammer paint can take quite a while to cure depending on the weather and time of year. Please contact to discuss prior to ordering. NOTE: Warranty regarding Hammered paint is covered in the Terms and Conditions. Please read prior to ordering.
