The Thylacine Deluxe is our premium Tonebnder MK1.5 clone. Housed in the Fuzzcases MKII enclosure, this pedal is made with premium parts, and is available in 2 finishes.

The Transistors will be premium grade Germanium PNP transistors dependent on availability and quality. These can include Mullard and/or Philips OC75s, OC81 and, OC81Ds amongst others. Other transistor can of course be made available on request, providing they can be sourced.

Added to these are

A hand crafted 60's phenolic board
Mullard OA70/71/79 Diode
Allen Bradley and Piher resistors
Philips, Sprague, Hunts, Mullard Mustard or Tropical Fish, Erie and WIMA capacitors
Alpha pots
Cliff or Neutrik jacks
Carling Footswitch
Classic Blue Core shielded wire.

NOTE: This pedal is powered by Battery Only.

This pedal is finished in hammered grey powdercoat, not dissimilar to the original Tonebenders. Also, you can request a gold finish (see the Red Ochre treblebooster) if you like.

Each Van Diemens pedal is hand built, point to point, one at a time using carefully selected vintage components. When turning our pedals, we set standard transistor voltages at the beginning, but then finalize the setup tuning by ear, looking for the perfect sweet spot and finalize the bias once that point has been reached.

IMPORTANT: All pedals use PNP Germanium transistors and as a result, are positive ground. Please be sure to check your power supply.

These fuzz are harmonically very active. It is a thick, full and aggressive fuzz but it is also very dynamic with some great sounds being produced by the amount of pick attack alone. It cleans up very nicely when rolling the attack control back a bit and then rolling back the guitar volume, however, when it's wound up, it's loaded with rich harmonics and has that violin quality to it. This fuzz is massive. The pedal comes with a calico bag and booklet.

Thanks for looking.
