The Dasy Deluxe is our premium Fuzz Face clone. Housed in classic round enclosure, this pedal is made with premium parts, and is available in 3 finishes. It is named, like all our pedals, after something iconically Tasmanian.

Dasy is short for Dasyuridae, a family of marsupials that include the Quoll, as well as the Tasmanian Devil. Our most famous fury friend.

The Dasy fuzz has that classic low growl with excellent cleanup, associated with the best Fuzz Faces, and it can produce everything from full rich overdrive to searing sustain driven fuzz.

The Transistors will be premium grade Germanium PNP transistors dependent on availability and quantity. Examples would be high end and hard to find NKT transistors (NO 275s sorry), Mullard OC44Ns and the likes. I recommend contacting us first to discuss transistor availability prior to ordering. Specific transistors may be available on request, providing they can be sourced.

Added to these are

Hand aged PCB board
Allen Bradley, Philips and Piher resistors
Philips capacitors
Omeg pots
Cliff or Neutrik jacks
Carling Footswitch
Vintage or modern equivalent wire depending on availability.

NOTE: This pedal is powered by Battery Only.

This pedal is available either Hammered Blue paint (see below) or Hammered Grey. They may also be aged, or in as new condition. Please note.  If it is in our "As New" or non aged finish, then please be aware that this is paint, and is susceptible to chips, scratches, cracks and flakes and as a result, is not guaranteed from any of this normal wear and tear.

It's paint, it's life. It's what it is.

This is paint and not as durable as powdercoat, so it will chip and flake over time. If you wish powdercoat, please contact us to discuss as certain finished will not be suitable.

PLEASE NOTE: This paint can take between 4 - 8 weeks to cure. Once it has fully dried, the graphics can then be applied and the pedal assembled. Any ageing will add a further week to the process. Please keep this in mind.

Each Van Diemens pedal is hand built, point to point, one at a time using carefully selected vintage components. When turning our pedals, we set standard transistor voltages at the beginning, but then finalize the setup tuning by ear, looking for the perfect sweet spot and finalize the bias once that point has been reached.

IMPORTANT: All pedals use PNP Germanium transistors and as a result are susceptible to changes in temperature. These pedals use batteries only.

These fuzz are harmonically very active. It is a thick, full and aggressive fuzz but it is also very dynamic with some great sounds being produced by the amount of pick attack alone. It cleans up very nicely when rolling the attack control back a bit and then rolling back the guitar volume, however, when it's wound up, it's loaded with rich harmonics and has that violin quality to it. This fuzz is massive. The pedal comes with a calico bag and booklet.

Thanks for looking.
