The Red Ochre - ROD 095

Available for immediate purchase is this beautiful Red Ochre Treblebooster in a gorgeous Ultra Heavy Aged gold hammer finish.

This is our take on the classic Rangemaster Treble Booster with a couple of twists. Tuned just a little darker than the original pedal in it's brightest position, the boost is designed to offer classic drive and snarl to your tone without any edgy ear piercing spikes. The bright through to dark options are all usable tones and work with a variety of guitars, pickups and amps.

Housing carefully selected NOS or reclaimed components from the 50's 60s, 70's and 80's, these pedals are made with that vintage tone in mind. Each pedal is hand crafted, point to point, one at a time.

This beast features a wonderful Philips Mullard AC107. These transistors are sonically a great alternative to the converted Mullard OC44. Using the guitars volume, they go from sparkly cleans to full overdriven tones that are not that far off a mild fuzz.

Along with this you can find

  • Philips, WIMA and Anocap caps
  • Allen Bradley resistors

Mechanical components include -

  • Alpha pots
  • Dailywell Foot switch
  • Neutrik jacks
  • Red LED
  • Lumburg 2.1mm DC power socket

This pedal also features a Tone Filter. This sweeps from it's brightest setting (Far Left) which is based on the original Rangemaster Treblebooster to a fuller, fatter sound (Far Right) allowing you to add a lot more oomph to your tone. There is plenty to love about this control, and a heap of tonal options in there for you.

Each Van Diemens pedal is hand crafted, one at a time using carefully selected vintage components. When turning our transistors, we initially set standard voltages at the beginning, and then set the final tone, tuning by ear.  We are constantly looking for the perfect sweet spot and once that point has been reached, we finalize the bias. We use classic pull back cloth wire and each hand cut and drilled fiber board uses either turrets, eyelets or through hole construction and are all wired, point to point.

IMPORTANT: All pedals use PNP Germanium transistors and as a result, are positive ground. External power is Negative (-) Center only. DO NOT power this pedal using a daisy chain. Use Isolated power supplies only. Failing to do so could damage the pedal and will void any warranty.

Thanks for looking.
