Collecting components is just as much fun a building pedals

Richard Turner

It's no secret that the pedals we love making and you love using are designed and created using original components from the 60s and 70s. Many of these parts, particularly the transistors that we love and revere are, as we know, becoming harder and harder to locate.

There are some great dealers around the world however their stocks are not infinite and many builders look to vintage electronics as a source for their stock.

The main board from a 1965 Philips reel to reel that houses an AC107, OC44, 2 x OC75's, and 2 x OC74's as well as Mullard and Philips caps and Piher resistors.

Many 60's electronics such as reel to reels, turntables, transistor radios (portable and car) for example, hold many of the key components we lust after in our quest in recrating that magig of the 60's music scene.
